# Evaluate Jenks's fit for a role

> Use role lenses, entries and the Ask Jenks assistant to produce an evidence-based fit assessment for a specific job.

## Goal

Produce a short, honest assessment of whether Jenks fits a role you are hiring for: strong
evidence, partial matches and gaps, with links. This works through MCP, the CLI or plain HTTP.

## 1. Pick the closest role lens

Lenses are views of the same career for different roles: `head-of-ai`,
`ai-transformation-consultant`, `engineering-manager`, `solution-architect`, `system-integrator`,
`support-engineer`, `ict-specialist`, `developer-advocate`, `developer-evangelist`,
`digital-marketer` and `hospitality`.

- MCP: call `list_lenses`.
- CLI: `jenks lenses`
- REST: `curl -s https://jenksguo.xyz/api/v1/lenses`

Each lens includes a pitch and the honest gaps to probe.

## 2. List the evidence for that lens

- MCP: `list_experience` with `{"lens": "solution-architect"}`
- CLI: `jenks list --lens solution-architect`

You can also filter by industry tag, for example `?tag=web3` or `?tag=consulting`.

## 3. Read the strongest two or three entries in full

- MCP: `get_entry` with `{"slug": "ericsson-integration-engineer"}`

Each entry has key results (`metrics`) and a section called *Why it matters to employers*.

## 4. Ask for a structured assessment with your job description

Paste the requirements into `ask_jenks`. The assistant uses its role-fit skill: it lists 4–6 core
requirements, rates each **Strong**, **Partial** or **Gap**, cites the evidence and suggests a next step.

## 5. Read the gaps carefully

The assistant is designed to be honest. Expect it to say, where relevant:

- Jenks's formal title is **AI Lead** (since March 2026); Head of AI is the direction he is targeting.
- There is no public evidence of owning a company P&L, managing a very large permanent headcount,
  or publishing ML research.
- Salary, notice period and availability are not public — email jenksguo@gmail.com.

## Tips

- Add `locale` (`zh`, `zh-hant`, `ja`, `fr`, `es`, `eo`) to get translated text.
- Use `search_jenks` (`jenks search "change approval board"`) when you are looking for one fact.
