Head of Developer Relations
Babylon Labs · Melbourne (remote; company HQ New York)
Built Babylon's developer ecosystem strategy — turning complex Bitcoin infrastructure into usable tooling, integrations and partner, developer and grant programs across DeFi.

Overview
Jenks joined Babylon Labs in August 2024 to lead developer relations for Bitcoin layer-two technology — Bitcoin staking, which lends Bitcoin's economic security to Proof-of-Stake chains, and later Babylon Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV). His stated goal when joining: "create a top team for crypto DevRel and empower them to do the best work of their lives", and give core blockchain developers and crypto-native projects an excellent integration experience.
What Jenks does
- Owns developer ecosystem strategy: turning deep cryptographic infrastructure into tooling, documentation, integrations and starter paths that developers can actually use.
- Leads partner, developer and grant programs across DeFi; grows adoption through enablement, partnerships and developer events.
- Recruits and leads the DevRel team (community engineers, developer advocates, technical writers, partner engineers).
- Dives into consensus research and Bitcoin script design deeply enough to explain it — he co-authored the TBV protocol white paper.
Achievements
- Established developer relations at a protocol company from scratch.
- Co-authored the TBV white paper; TBV enables Bitcoin to be used in DeFi (for example as lending collateral) without custodial trust assumptions.
Why it matters to employers
Protocol DevRel is one of the hardest translation jobs in tech: the audience is expert, the technology is new, and trust matters. Leading it shows technical depth, writing ability and the ability to build a team and a program — the same muscles needed to roll out AI across a company.
