Teams, not typists.

AI should make whole teams better — not only help each person type a little faster.

In plain words

Using AI to write emails faster is useful, but small. The bigger win is a team where people and AI agents each have a clear job, work from the same information, and know when a person must check the work. (An "agent" is AI software that can take steps on its own, not only answer questions.)

Why Jenks thinks this

  • At Babylon Labs he is building a company knowledge base, so AI assistants work from real company information instead of guesses.
  • He designs "tiered" agents: low-risk tasks run on their own; higher-risk work waits for a person to approve it. People stay in charge of the decisions that matter.
  • His leadership motto is "I lead by helping my team glow" — the goal is a stronger team, not a faster individual.

What he does about it

  • Gives people and agents clear roles, and shared context to work from.
  • Puts a human check on every risky step.
  • Measures what the whole team delivers, not how fast one person types.

What it means for you

Ask "what could this team achieve with AI?", not "how can each person go a bit faster?". The answer is usually a redesigned workflow, not a new chatbot.

Let's talk.
